1. Information We Collect

• Account information — your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and organization details you provide when you register.
• QR and destination data — the codes you create, the destinations you point them at, and any routing rules you configure.
• Scan analytics — when someone scans your code we record metadata such as timestamp, approximate location (derived from IP), device type, and referrer. We do not collect the personal identity of the person scanning.
• Payment metadata — when you take payments, card details are handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers; we retain only the payment metadata Stripe returns (amount, status, last four digits, and a transaction reference).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to operate the service: to redirect scans to the right destination, to show you analytics, to process payments through Stripe, to provide support, and to send you service-related notices. We may use aggregated, de-identified data to improve ScanAspect. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. Scan redirects may set a short-lived cookie to support analytics and abuse prevention. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with processors that help us run the service — notably Stripe for payments and our hosting and infrastructure providers. These processors are bound by their own privacy commitments. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. Your Rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your account data at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your codes and associated analytics, subject to any records we must retain for legal or accounting purposes.
